“It was never a question of if, but always a question of when”, that’s how Mylan starts his story about building his hotel ‘Het Weeshuis’. Het Weeshuis used to be an orphanage, a place where children without a home could stay and shelter. Now, it’s a hotel where people stay for a weekend out to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Friesland, Holland.

A lot has changed since the beginning of 2013: “We used to write down every reservation in Excel… Reservations were placed via telephone, via different booking channels and via mail. We we’re so busy with Excel, we started resenting it. Word became also less popular by the minute, as we we’re writing confirmation mails in it. And, of course, making the invoices manually. It took us all so much of our time, and energy”, thus Mylan started searching for hotel management software.

 

Why did he choose for RoomRaccoon? “9/10 systems are way too big, with too many features and costs. Those are too big for our hotel with only 14 rooms. But, our current system was also not working. So, we searched and searched… and thankfully came across RoomRaccoon.”
